How projects work

Every Technology services engagement follows the same five stages — from a paid study through to a released, supported solution. Nothing custom is quoted without a study first.

1

Study

A scoping study or an operational discovery study — see Studies. Fixed fee, credited against the project if you go ahead.

2

Design & fixed quote

Technical design, a fixed price, milestones and terms — agreed in a statement of work before anything is built.

3

Build & verify

Built in its own project repository, outside the Saphion platform, and verified in an environment appropriate to your systems.

4

Acceptance & release

You accept against the written acceptance criteria agreed at the start — then it's released to production with documentation and handover.

5

Support & managed improvement

A defect warranty covers the first month. After that, support and improvement run under a clear retainer — see managed improvement & support.

Scope control that's actually enforced.

Any change to an agreed scope is priced through written change control — never absorbed informally. Third-party licences and hosting are held in accounts you own and passed through, never marked up or resold.
